最近,低分子ゲル化剤から構成される分子性ゲルは,化粧品あるいは医療分野での応用展開が期待されている。また外部刺激応答性を有する分子性ゲルは,ソフトマテリアル創製研究の新たなトピックとして注目を集めている。今後,高分子ゲルと比較して機械的性質などに劣る分子性ゲルのさらなる物性向上に関する新たな方法論を検討することは意義があると考えられる。本稿では,筆者らが最近見いだしたアルキルヒドラジド誘導体のオイルゲル形成能,およびこれらオイルゲルの物性を向上させ,チキソトロピー性発現を含めた機能を付与するための方法論としての混合について検討した結果を解説する。
