ITQ-21およびUSYゼオライトを用いてn-ヘプタンの異性化反応を200℃で行なった。異性化活性はUSYと大きな違いは観測されなかった。しかし、ITQ-21はUSYゼオライトに比べ炭素析出量が少なく、活性低下が少ないことが特徴である。ITQ-21骨格中のAl量が触媒特性に及ぼす影響を調べた。その結果、Alの量が増えるほど、骨格異性化の選択性が高くなった。
