Boersch, or stochastic space charge effect, is the effect of broadening of the e-beam axial energy spectrum. It limits resolution of fine electron optics by means of change in axial velocity of electrons. This is caused by a stochastic, discrete el ectron-electron interactions in an electron beam. We have computed bea…

Recrystallization in Severely Deformed Aluminum

Jurij J. Sidor、Roumen Petrov、Léo Kestens2012-04-01Materials science forum

Qualitative and quantitative texture changes are investigated in a severely deformed 5xxx series aluminum alloy. Unusual recrystallization textures are observed after a rolling strain of more than 97% in thickness reduction. The influence of both strain amplitude and strain mode on the development of the deformation a…

Modeling of emission slump by ion bombardment of a Ba-dispenser cathode in an electron tube

Toshiharu Higuchi、Masahiro Sasaki、Shuji Matsumoto 等 4 位作者2012-04-01OpenAlex

Emission distribution simulation on the cathode surface under ion bombardment shows greater ion bombardment damage on the cathode center than on the periphery. For example, for a klystron gun (5 × 10-8Torr CO), 46% emission decay occurred on the cathode center, although total emission decayed only 2%.
