Abstract The hexa‐lacunary Dawson type polyoxomolybdate (Bu4N)2 [MoV4MoVI10O38 (OAc)6] (I) is synthesized from (Bu4N)2[Mo6O19] dissolved in MeCN and a mixture of acetic acid and acetic anhydrid solution in the presence of Bu3SnH (N2, reflux, 12 h, 45% yield).
