이산화탄소와 에폭사이드를 단량체로 이용하여 친환경, 생분해성 지방족 폴리카보네이트를 합성하는 기술 은 최근의 이산화탄소 활용 기술의 하나로 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이산화탄소/에폭사이드 공중합 에 이용되는 균일계 촉매의 개발 동향을 살펴보았다. 초기의 salen-Cr 화합물에서부터 이핵 아연 촉매계, 그리고 아민 염을 리간드로 갖는 다양한 salene-코발트계 촉매까지 이들의 구조와 촉매활성과의 연관성을 중심으로 기술하였다.
