Stability Analysis of Superluminal Metamaterial Transmission Line with Realistic Non-Foster Negative Capacitors

Silvio Hrabar、Damir Zidar、Igor Krois2012-01-01Automatika

Recently, it has been shown possible to go around basic dispersion energy constraints that limit bandwidth of every passive metamaterial and construct a broadband active Epsilon-Near-Zero superluminal transmission line. A basic building block of this unusual transmission line is an active ‘tank circuit’ that contains…

Temporary Vascular Occlusion by Rapid Reverse Phase Polymer: A Preliminary In Vitro Study of Retrograde Injection

Einar Dregelid2012-01-01International Journal of Biomaterials

During vascular surgical operations, there is a need for a simpler and more reliable method of temporary arterial occlusion than those currently employed, especially of heavily calcified arteries. A thermosensitive polymer, LeGoo (LG) (Pluromed, Woburn, MA), has been used successfully for temporary vascular occlusion.…

Conceptual Design of Electron Density Measurement System for DEMO-Relevant Helical Plasmas

Tsuyoshi Akiyama、Ryo Yasuhara、T. Tokuzawa 等 7 位作者2012-01-01Plasma and Fusion Research

Electron density measurement remains indispensable to control fueling on a DEMO reactor. For steady-state operation of the DEMO reactor, density measurement should be highly reliable and accurate. A dispersion interferometer and a Faraday polarimeter are free from measurement errors caused by mechanical vibrations. He…

Effects on Implemented Pre-Heated Foamed Ceramic Filters

Thorsten Graunke、Jürgen Wöllenstein2012-01-01Procedia Engineering

We report the use of a pre-heated catalytic filter to improve the stability and cross sensitivity of metal oxide gas sensors (MOS). For characterization a pure and gold coated Al2O3 foamed ceramic is integrated into a newly designed chamber. When heating up the foamed ceramic, the Pd/SnO2 sensor shows a significant se…

Dynamic Nonlinear Response of Diglycine Nitrate Crystals in the Vicinity of Phase Transition Point

S. Miga、Z. Czapla、J. Dec2012-01-01Ferroelectrics

Nonlinear dielectric response of diglycine nitrate (DGN) crystal was investigated via measurements of linear, nonlinear dielectric susceptibilities and ferroelectric hysteresis loops. The behaviour of the third order susceptibility agrees with predictions of the thermodynamic theory of the continuous ferroelectric pha…

Opposite response of CO for WO3 and Au: WO3 sensors

Niranjan S. Ramgir、S. Kailasa Ganapati、N. Datta 等 7 位作者2012-01-01AIP conference proceedings

Pure and Au incorporated WO3 thin films have been investigated for their sensing properties towards CO. Pure WO3 sensor film exhibited an increase in resistance while Au: WO3 films showed opposite behavior i.e. a decrease in resistance. We propose mechanism(s) for this anomalous sensing behavior of CO.
