Electroinduced Broadband Light Emission in Rare Earth Doped Lanthanum Lead Zirconate Titanate Ceramics

Jingwen W. Zhang、Long Xu、Xiudong Sun 等 6 位作者2012-01-01OpenAlex

A continuum light emission was observed in a Tm3+/Ho3+ codoped PLZT ceramic slab upon exposing to a corona atmosphere. The origin of the broad light emission may be rooted in an electroinduced structural variation.

Quantum effects in subnanometric-gap plasmonic antennas

Javier Aizpurua、Rubén Esteban、Peter Nordlander 等 4 位作者2012-01-01OpenAlex

We obtain the optical response of plasmonic nanoantennas showing subnanometric gaps with use of a quantum-corrected model. A redistribution of plasmonic modes and a quenching of the field-enhancement are produced due to quantum tunneling.

Hydrogen adsorption/desorption in functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes

D. Silambarasan、V. Vasu、V. J. Surya 等 4 位作者2012-01-01AIP conference proceedings

The adsorption and desorption of hydrogen in SWCNTs functionalized with borane is investigated experimentally. The SWCNTs are functionalized with borane (BH3) using LiBH4 as the precursor. The functionalized samples are hydrogenated and storage capacities of 3.2 wt.% and 3.8 wt.% are achieved at 50°C. Desorption of hy…
