Yongfeng Liu、Bo Li、Fangfang Tu 等 7 位作者2011-01-01Dalton Transactions

Hydrogen storage performances of a Li(2)NH-xMgNH combination system (x = 0, 0.5, 1 and 2) are investigated for the first time. It is found that the hydrogenated samples with MgNH exhibit a significant reduction in the dehydrogenation temperatures. Mechanistic investigations reveal that there is a strong dependence of…

Rupa R. Sawant、Vladimir P. Torchilin2011-01-01Methods in molecular biology

The modification of biologicals such as proteins/peptides, small molecules, and other polymers with lipids provides an efficient method for mediating their insertion into liposomes and lipid-core micellar nanocarriers. In this chapter, we describe several representative protocols developed in our laboratory for the bi…

In the present work an effective technique to synthesize large-scale c-axis oriented ZnO nanorod (NR) arrays is presented. The manuscript reports a single-step cathodic electrodeposition, either in aqueous and organic electrolytes, to fill up ultra-thin anodic nanoporous alumina templates. Prior to growing, self-order…

The ability to alter the rate at which molecules are released from pores by manipulating structural and surface properties of mesoporous materials was demonstrated consistently in numerous studies. Yet an understanding of the role of pore size, attraction to pore walls and of the release mechanism in general has still…

Site specific protein immobilization into structured polymer brushes prepared by AFM lithography

Hendrik Wagner、Yong Li、Michael Hirtz 等 6 位作者2011-01-01Soft Matter

Protein immobilization into structured polymer brushes was achieved by AFM lithography. Dense polystyrene brushes with thicknesses larger than 40 nm show protein repellent properties whereas brushes with thicknesses smaller than 20 nm show the expected known protein adsorption behavior. Multi tip AFM lithography allow…

With the recent advances made in monochromation of electron sources and Cs-correction, the point resolution of the transmission electron microscope (TEM) has been extended into the sub-Angstrom regime. This development has led to an important consequence—that specimen preparation has become a more critical issue for t…
