本研究では,硝酸酸化とその後の脱気処理により,細孔構造が同等で異なる表面酸性官能基量をもつ活性炭を調製し,それらを吸着剤として用いて11種類の芳香族化合物の吸着実験を行った.吸着実験を通じ,活性炭表面の酸性官能基の有無と,吸着質として用いた芳香族化合物の芳香環に結合した置換基のもつ性質が,吸着に及ぼす影響を調べるとともに,吸着形態を考察した.表面酸性官能基をもつ活性炭(DAOx)は,官能基をもたない活性炭(DAOxOG)よりも,芳香族化合物に対する吸着親和力が小さいことがわかった.しかし,ニトロベンゼンのような双極子モーメントの大きい芳香族化合物は,フェノールのような双極子モーメントの小さい芳香族化合物とは対照的に,溶質が高濃度に…
