Abstract Title ceramics with x = 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, and 0.30 are prepared by heat treatment (1423 and 1823 K in air for 10 h each) of precursors obtained by coprecipitation from HNO3 solutions of Ba(NO3)2, (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6, ZrO(NO3)2, and Sm(NO3)3 in the presence of polyethylene glycol.
