Comment on `Origin of combination frequencies in quantum magnetic oscillations of two-dimensional multiband metals' by T. Champel [Phys. Rev. B 65, 153403 (2002); cond-mat/0110154]

A. S. Alexandrov、A. M. Bratkovsky2003-10-22arXiv

We analyze the applicability of our analytical theory of combination harmonics in canonical low-dimensional multi-band Fermi liquids, which was recently criticized by Champel (Phys. Rev. B 65, 153403 (2002)). It is shown that his claim that our analytical theory does not apply at low temperatures and in clean samples,…

Junhui He、Toyoki Kunitake、Aiko Nakao2003-10-22OpenAlex

In situ synthesis of noble metal (Ag, Au, Pt, Pd) nanoparticles was carried out under ambient conditions in porous cellulose fibers as nanoreactors. Particles of less than 10 nm were readily prepared using the described approach, and monodisperse nanoparticles were obtained under an optimized concentration of the meta…

T. A. Eremina、V. A. Kuznetsov、T. M. Okhrimenko 等 4 位作者2003-10-21Proceedings of SPIE, the International Society for Optical Engineering/Proceedings of SPIE

On the basis of crystal chemical analysis and modeling KDP structure, the mechanism of incorporation of bivalent ions (Ni2+, Co2+, Fe2+, Mn2+) of radii 0.75 Å < r < 1.1 Å and trivalent ions (Al3+, Fe3+, Mn3+, Y3+, La3+) in KDP crystals is analyzed. For the considered bivalent (Me2+) and trivalent (Me3+) impurity ions,…

Preparation and characterization of poly(ether ester) thermoplastic elastomers containing the 2,6‐naphthalenedicarboxyl group

Taehwan Ahn、Yun Heum Park、Seong Hun Kim 等 4 位作者2003-10-21Journal of Applied Polymer Science

Abstract Poly(ether ester) elastomers (PEEs) were synthesized in which dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) was the primary diester compound in the hard segment (H/S) and dimethyl 2,6‐naphthalene dicarboxylate (NDC), which has a more rigid aromatic chemical structure than DMT, was the secondary diester in the H/S. The block P…

Cross‐linking of polybutadiene: correlation between solid‐state 1H NMR spectroscopy, thermoporosimetry, densimetry and crystallinity measurements

Jean‐François Pilichowski、Tibor Liptaj、Myriam Morel 等 5 位作者2003-10-21Polymer International

Abstract T 2 proton NMR relaxation times were used to follow the changes in the macromolecular chain mobility of a chemically (by dicumyl peroxide) cross‐linked polybutadiene matrix. The same phenomenon was also studied by an investigation of the ability of the polymer to crystallize using DSC measurements. The solubi…

Recycling of jute textile in phenol formaldehyde–jute composites

Mohammad L. Hassan2003-10-21Journal of Applied Polymer Science

Abstract Jute textile was recycled into composites using different percents of phenol formaldehyde (PF) resin. The effect of the resin percent, from 12 to 30%, on the flexural strength, tensile strength, water absorption, and thickness swelling of the produced composites was studied. To improve the dimensional stabili…

Pulsed Field Gradient NMR Study of the Diffusion of H2O and Polyethylene Glycol Polymers in the Supramolecular Structure of Wet Cotton

Benedict Newling、Stephen N. Batchelor2003-10-21The Journal of Physical Chemistry B

PFG NMR results are reported on H 2 O, PEG200, PEG1500, PEG8000, and PEG20000 in wet cotton fibers and H 2 O in wet cotton linters. The data are analyzed in terms of a two-site exchange model (water/cotton) and show that the probe molecules in fibers are trapped in cages. The cage size decreases from 10 to 2 μm as the…

Abstract An organophosphorus epoxy resin with diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA), which has improved fire performance, was synthesized from the reaction of 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide and DGEBA. The epoxy resin was then cured with an isomeric mixture of 3,5‐diethyltoluene‐2,4‐diamine and 3,…

Effect of ultrafine, fully vulcanized acrylate powdered rubber on the mechanical properties and crystallization behavior of nylon 6

Xuejia Ding、Riwei Xu、Dingsheng Yu 等 5 位作者2003-10-21Journal of Applied Polymer Science

Abstract Nylon 6 (PA6) is a widely used engineering plastic. However, its poor toughness limits its applications. Therefore, toughening PA6 has been a point of interest in the field of PA6 modification. Generally, toughening a plastic with an elastomer reduces the stiffness and heat distortion temperature of the matri…

Iron(II) 2-aza-21-carbaporphyrins have been characterized by paramagnetically shifted (1)H and (2)H NMR spectra. The high-spin iron(II) complex (HCTPPH)Fe(II)Br displays the beta-H resonances which reflect the combination sigma and pi routes of spin density delocalization. The uniquely large isotropic shift of the inn…
