Studies on Radon in soil gas and Natural radionuclides in soil, rock and ground water samples around Mysore city

Shashikumar . T. S2011-01-01OpenAlex

The 222 Rn in soil gas were measured in 0.5m and 1m depth for different locations around Mysore city using Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors. The concentration of radon in soil was observed higher near Chamundi hills and Karighatta village in rainy season. These higher concentrations may be due to higher 226 Ra conc…

Anomalous resistivity and superconductivity in the two-band Hubbard model with one narrow band (Review)

M. Yu. Kagan、V. V. Valkov2011-01-01Low Temperature Physics

We search for marginal Fermi-liquid behavior in the two-band Hubbard model with one narrow band. We consider the limit of low electron densities in the bands and strong intraband and interband Hubbard interactions. We analyze the influence of electron-polaron effects and other mechanisms for mass-enhancement (related…

A Review on Gun Barrel Erosion

作者信息未提供2011-01-01International Journal of Current Engineering and Technology

The Erosion of Gun Barrels leads to reduced gun performance and availability, and increases the expense of barrel replacement over the life time of a gun system. Wear in gun barrel usually increases the bore diameter near the commencement of rifiling. The wear spreads forwards toward the muzzle as the gun is fired con…

Dominik Martin、Matthias Grube、Wenke Weinreich 等 11 位作者2011-01-01Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology B Nanotechnology and Microelectronics Materials Processing Measurement and Phenomena

In order for sub-10 nm thin films of ZrO2 to have a dielectric constant larger than 30 they need to be crystalline. This is done by either depositing the layer at higher temperatures or by a postdeposition annealing step. Both methods induce high leakage currents in ZrO2 based dielectrics. In order to understand the l…
