Abstract A novel system is prepared by impregnating ionic liquid immobilized TEMPO and copper salt onto silica. This system successfully catalyzes aerobic oxidation of most benzylic or allylic alcohols in n‐octane to the corresponding aldehydes under O2 atmosphere.
