A Study on Becker′s Univalence Criteria

Maslina Darus、Faisal Imran2011-01-01Abstract and Applied Analysis

We study univalence properties for certain subclasses of univalent functions 𝔎, 𝔎2, 𝔎3, and S(p), respectively. These subclasses are associated with a generalized integral operator. The extended Becker‐typed univalence criteria will be studied for these subclasses.

Intelligent animal fibre classification with artificial neural networks

Xian Shi、Wei Dong Yu2011-01-01International Journal of Modelling Identification and Control

The scale patterns of cashmere and fine wool are different and that is a major reference distinguishing them from each other. A technique commonly used consists of analysing their SEM image for detecting cuticle scale edge height (CSH) of fibre. However, the method is expensive and has an average error of 8%. In this…

Design and Characterization of a Process for Bulk Synthesis of Cadmium Selenide Quantum Dots

Susan Harada2011-01-01DigitalCommons - CalPoly (California State Polytechnic University)

The objective of the process is to synthesize quantum dots that will fluoresce over the visible spectrum of 450 to 650nm; then to mix the quantum dots together in a polymer matrix so that when illuminated with a blue LED the mixture yields “white” light. The current quantum dot synthesis is a chemical process that inv…

SDS-PAGE Heat-Shock Protein Profiles of Environmental Aeromonas Strains

Kamelia M. Osman、ZEINAB M. S. AMIN、Magdy A.K. Aly 等 5 位作者2011-01-01Polish Journal of Microbiology

Aeromonas microorganisms normally grow at temperatures between 5 degrees C and 45 degrees C and therefore should have high thermotolerance. Thus it was of interest to find out whether A. hydrophila, A. caviae and A. veronii biovar sobria serovars respond to abrupt temperature changes with a heat shock-like response. T…

Measurement of low-pressure Hugoniot data for bismuth with reverse-impact geometry

Ye Tan、Yuying Yu、Chengda Dai 等 6 位作者2011-01-01Acta Physica Sinica

Hugoniot data for Bi are determined through measuring the impact velocity and the particle velocity at the sample/window interface on a powder gun or a two-stage light gas gun in a shock pressure range from 10 to 45 GPa, using reverse-impact geometry. The used experimental technique avoids the difficulty in accurately…

MULTIOBJECTIVE OPTIMIZATION OF THE SEMI-OPEN IMPELLER IN A CENTRIFUGAL PUMP BY A MULTILEVEL METHOD

A. Papierski、A. Błaszczyk2011-01-01TU repository (Lodz University of Technology)

The complete optimization task for the case of the semi-open impeller with straight blades requires description of its geometry by means of, at least, eighteen design variables. In the case of constant meridional cross-section, required are at least eight design variables. Solution of the task with such a great vector…

Synthesis and formation mechanism of helical single-crystalline CuInSe2 nanowires

Liang Shi、Quan Li2011-01-01CrystEngComm

Highly ordered single-crystalline CuInSe2 nanowires array have been prepared via a facile solution approach by using anodic aluminium oxide (AAO) as a hard template. CuInSe2 nanowires with a novel helical shape are found to be formed by this approach. A screw-dislocation-induced growth process is proposed for the form…
