Liqiao Chen、Hongquan Zhan、Xianfeng Yang 等 9 位作者2010-01-01CrystEngComm

Regular square FeSex nanoflakes with tetragonal PbO-type phase and selenium deficiency have been grown from an inorganic iron source, i.e. ferrous chloride and selenium trioctylphosphine through a simple solution-based route in the co-solvent of oleylamine and oleic acid. The phase and structure are identified by powd…

Probing adsorption and aggregation of insulin at a poly(acrylic acid) brush

Florian Evers、Christian Reichhart、Roland Steitz 等 5 位作者2010-01-01Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics

A planar poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) brush provides an unusual substrate for the unspecific immobilization of proteins on material surfaces. At neutral pH-values, proteins adsorb at a PAA brush when the ionic strength of the protein solution is low. In contrast, raising the ionic strength to a few 100 mM transforms a PAA…

On the mechanism of the photoinduced magnetism in copper octacyanomolybdates

Maria-Angels Carvajal、Mar Reguero、Coen de Graaf2010-01-01Chemical Communications

Ab initio calculations show that a possible mechanism for the photomagnetism in copper octacyanomolybdate compounds consists of the initial excitation of the diamagnetic Cu(II)-Mo(IV-CS) pair to a Cu(II)-Mo(IV-T) state, whose geometry relaxation stabilizes the magnetic doublet and quartet states.

Evaluation of material properties and design requirements for biodegradable magnesium stents

Stefano Farè、Qiang Ge、Maurizio Vedani 等 8 位作者2010-01-01Matéria (Rio de Janeiro)

Magnesium represents a very attractive material for biodegradable stents since the process of its natural and gradual dissolution into the human body by a corrosion process would prevent restenosis risks and would allow the progressive transmission of the mechanical load to the surrounding tissues after several months…

The newly introduced ORION™ helium ion microscope has been used for high resolution imaging and nanofabrication. More recently, an energy sensitive detector has been developed that permits the measurement of the energy spectrum of the backscattered helium ions. The spectra can be analyzed directly or compared with the…

The Influence of the ZnO Seed Layer on the ZnO Nanorod/GaN LEDs

Xinyi Chen、Alan Man Ching Ng、F. Fang 等 10 位作者2010-01-01Journal of The Electrochemical Society

We have studied the influence of the seed layer on the growth of ZnO nanorods on GaN by vapor deposition and the performance of the p-GaN/ZnO nanorod light emitting diodes (LEDs). The seed layer had a significant influence on the orientation and density of the ZnO nanorods as well as on the current–voltage curves of t…
