Yu. V. Solov’eva、С. В. Старенченко、В. А. Старенченко2011-02-01Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences Physics

The creep in Ni3Ge alloy single crystals with strain axis orientations of [001], [ $$ \bar 1 $$ 39], [ $$ \bar 2 $$ 34], and [ $$ \bar 1 $$ 22] was investigated. It was found that changes in strain axis orientation that lead to cubic slip increase the creep resistance of Ni3Ge alloy single crystals.

MOLECULAR DYNAMICS SIMULATIONS OF CARBON NANOTUBE-BASED OSCILLATORS HAVING TOPOLOGICAL DEFECTS

Matukumilli V. D. Prasad、Baidurya Bhattacharya2011-02-01International Journal of Nanoscience

Effect of vacancy and Stone–Wales defects on the oscillatory behavior of (5,5)/(10,10) carbon nanotube-based oscillator are studied using NVE molecular dynamics simulations. Results show that defects reduce stability of the oscillators. Effect of single vacancy defect on stability is very small, whereas Stone–Wales de…

A new definition for acoustic dose

Francis Duck2011-02-01Journal of Physics Conference Series

This paper discusses a recent proposal for definitions of acoustic dose and acoustic dose-rate. Acoustic dose is defined as the energy deposited by absorption of an acoustic wave per unit mass of the medium supporting the wave. Its time-derivative, acoustic dose-rate, Qm, in W kg−1 is central to the prediction of both…
