Grain boundaries in dense nanocrystalline ceria ceramics: exclusive pathways for proton conduction at room temperature

Hugo J. Ávila-Paredes、Chien‐Ting Chen、Shizhong Wang 等 7 位作者2010-01-01Journal of Materials Chemistry

Low-temperature proton conduction in nanocrystalline ceramics of Gd-doped ceria with an average grain size of ca. 15 nm was investigated as a function of dopant concentration over the temperature range of 30 ≤ θ/°C ≤ 200. The proton conductivity, σH+, was independent of the dopant concentration while the oxygen-ion co…

Ligands Derived from Tetrathiafulvalene: Building Blocks for Multifunctional Materials

Michael Shatruk、Lipika Ray2010-01-01Dalton Transactions

The last decade has witnessed many advances in the coordination chemistry of tetrathiafulvalene (TTF). Various ligands, in which a metal-binding functionality is attached to the TTF unit, have been synthesized and used for the preparation of metal complexes. This Perspective summarizes the main types of TTF-containing…

The prevention of external corrosion on underground structures is accomplished using a dual system of coatings and CP. To define corrosion, pipelines will be considered synonymous with all underground structures. All metallic corrosion is electrochemical in nature and is the result of direct electrical current flow.
