Corrosion of Copper in Presence of Acetic Acid Derivatives

Hanaa H. Abdel-Rahman2010-11-20Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology

The anodic corrosion of copper in presence of acetic acid derivatives were determined by measuring the limiting current. It is found that the rate of corrosion increased by decreasing H3PO4 concentration and electrode height. The experimental results showed that the inhibition efficiency increased with increasing conc…

Saba Beg、Sadaf Haneef、Niyazi A.S. Al-Areqi2010-11-20Phase Transitions

The solid solutions of bismuth–vanadate were prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction. The sample characterization and the study of phase transition were done by using FT-IR, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and DSC measurements. AC impedance measurements proved that the oxide ion conductivity predominantly arises fro…

Akhileshwar Prasad、Malay Kumar Das2010-11-20Phase Transitions

Refractive index measurements have been done on a polar–polar binary system, 4-cyanophenyl [4′(4″-n-heptylphenyl)] benzoate (7CPB) + 4-cyanophenyl-4-nonylbenzoate (9.CN), exhibiting nematic–smectic Ad–re-entrant nematic phase sequence using thin prism technique. From refractive index as well as density data, the polar…

Emulsifying Ability of β-Cyclodextrins for Common Oils

Motoki Inoue、Kaname Hashizaki、Hiroyuki Taguchi 等 4 位作者2010-11-20Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology

Emulsification of various common oils was investigated using natural β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) and its derivatives as emulsifiers. An oil/water (O/W) emulsion was formed using β-CD, whereas a water/oil (W/O) emulsion was formed using tripropanoyl-β-CD and tributanoyl-β-CD derivatives. Triacetyl-β-CD gave rise to both O/W…
