Advances in Targeted Drug Delivery

Seyed Alireza Mortazavi2010-11-20Iranian journal of pharmaceutical research

It was just over a hundred years ago that the famous Paul Ehrlich put forward his theory of “the magic bullet”, as an approach to overcome and tame different disease states. Among these, targeting to the cancer cells in varying bodily locations (organs) is of prime interest. Scientists have ever since worked on the pr…

Phase transitions driven by quasiparticle interactions

N. H. March、Е. В. Чулков、P. M. Échenique 等 4 位作者2010-11-20Phase Transitions

After a survey of the solid–liquid transition, driven by phonon–phonon interactions, attention is next focussed on two phase transitions caused by electron–phonon interactions. These are (i) the Barden–Cooper–Schrieffer pure metal superconducting transition and (ii) the original Peierls instability. These have closely…

Luiz Guilherme Machado de Macedo、Cibele Aparecida de Oliveira、Jose S. Gomes 等 7 位作者2010-11-20Journal of Computational and Theoretical Nanoscience

The dissociation energy of HgO obtained through all electron 4-component DFT calculations shows good agreement with experimental data, opposing some high level calculations from literature. It suggests that the reaction Hg + BrO -> HgO + Br is feasible to take place under atmospheric conditions.

A Novel Synthetic Route for Green-emitting Zn2-xMnxSiO4Phosphor using Colloidal Silica

Seong‐Gu Kang、Jung‐Chul Park2010-11-20Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society

In sol-gel method using the citric acid, the citric acid molecule loses 3 protons from the three carboxyl groups, which results in the citrate anion. This citrate anions can chelate metal cations like as the interaction between citric acid and colloidal silica. This is the reason why we use colloidal silica solution i…
